Over time, thatch roofs wear down from sun, rain, and wind exposure. Our re-thatching service strips the old, worn thatch down to the structure, inspects and repairs the underlying framework, and applies fresh premium Reed for complete restoration. We assess every roof individually to determine whether a full re-thatch or partial replacement is most cost-effective. The result is a roof that looks brand new and provides reliable waterproofing for another 25–40 years.

Signs that your roof may need re-thatching include visible thinning, persistent leaks after rain, sagging sections, or heavy moss and lichen growth that brushing cannot resolve. Our team inspects the underlying pole and timber structure for rot, insect damage, or structural weakness before any new thatch is applied. If only certain sections are worn, a partial re-thatch may be all that's needed — we'll give you an honest assessment so you only pay for what's necessary.
